5 Healthy Milk Recipes

As grownups, we’re well aware of the fact that milk is good for us. But beyond this vague notion very few of us know why and how is milk important to our health. Let us see what milk is all about

In other words, milk is a super food when it comes to nutrition and you don’t have to drink a whole lot of it to reap the benefits. Just one glass daily packs as much nutrients as 3.5 ounce of cooked salmon. Apart from this, milk is known to play a important role in weight loss and reduce chances of heart diseases and strokes by as much as 15 to 20 %. In this article I’ve discussed 5 delicious and extremely healthy milk recipes.

1. Peanut Butter and Cocoa Milk

Peanut Butter and Cocoa Milk


  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp dark choco chips
  • 1 1/2 dates
  • Cinnamon and cardamom
  • 250 ml cow or plant milk


  • Add some milk, dark choco chips, peanut butter, cocoa powder, dates and spices in a blender
  • Blend the mixture until it turns smooth
  • Put balance of the milk in a pan and boil it
  • Once the milk starts to boil, add the blended mixture
  • Reduce the heat and stir constantly
  • Heat until the quantity of milk reduces slightly

Your Peanut Butter and Cocoa Milk is now ready. Have it while it’s still warm!!

2. Carrot Milk

  • 2 small carrots, raw or steamed
  • 6-7 soaked almonds
  • 1 1/2 dates or honey
  • Cardamom powder
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • Cinnamon powder or nutmeg
  • 250-300 ml milk


  • Add all the ingredients in a blender with little bit of milk
  • Blend the mixture
  • Put the blended mixture in a pan
  • Add some water to prevent the mixture sticking to the pan
  • Once boiled, reduce the heat and stir gently
  • Keep on stirring constantly
  • Add few drops of vanilla extract (optional)
  • Now add the rest of milk
  • Cook on medium heat and cook till the quantity reduces a little

Your Carrot Milk is now ready. Serve it warm!!

3. Golden Spiced Milk

Golden Spiced Milk


  • Raw turmeric and ginger
  • Black pepper, clove and nutmeg
  • Licorice
  • Dry dates
  • Ajwain
  • 250 ml milk


  • Grind the spices and put them in a pan
  • Add the milk
  • Boil the milk till the quantity is ¾
  • Add 1 tsp honey (optional)

Your Golden Spiced Milk is now ready. Serve it warm!!

4. Besan Milk Sheera

  • 2 tbsp roasted chana dal
  • 8 almonds and handful of phool makhana
  • Wild turmeric and cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 dates or any other natural sweetner
  • Pinch of saffron
  • 650 ml milk


  • Blend all the ingredients with some milk
  • Add the blended mixture to a pan and cook until it starts to turn dark
  • Keep adding more milk to match consistency

Your Besan Milk Sheera is now ready. This recipe serves 3-4 people. Serve it warm!!

5. Chia seeds and Matcha Milk

Chia seeds and Matcha Milk


  • 1 1/2 tsp chia seeds
  • Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry basil
  • 1/2 tsp matcha tea
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 1/2 wheat grass powder
  • 250 ml milk


  • Add all the ingredients in a bowl with some milk (except honey)
  • Mix well with a whisker
  • Keep aside for 10 minutes
  • Add the milk to a pan
  • Bring the milk to boil, simmer and reduce the quantity slightly
  • Add the mixture and mix well

Your Chia seeds and Matcha Milk is now ready. Serve it warm!!
