Cumin (Jeera in hindi) is a spice made from seeds of the cuminum cyminum plant. Cumin lends its distinctive flavour to chilli, tomatoes and various other Indian curries. How to use and consume cumin seeds ?

Method 1 : Cumin seeds infused water

  • Instructions
  • Heat 2.5 to 3 litre water in a pan
  • Add 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Bring it to boil
  • Cover it and leave it overnight to infuse
  • Next morning, Drink this water the whole day, instead of plain water
  • While having it, you can keep the seeds in the water

Method 2 : Cumin tea for better digestion

  • Instructions
  • Take 250 ml of water in a pan
  • Add 1 tsp cumin seeds in the water
  • Start heating the pan
  • Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer
  • Let it simmer for 8-10 minutes
  • Strain and tea and have it warm
  • Add lemon juice and honey for taste
  • Foe more effect, you can add one pinch of turmeric and black pepper in the tea
  • To cure cold, you can add ginger to the tea
