Healthy Morning Routine

Mornings set the tone for the entire day. Our morning routine decides how energetic we are for the rest of the day. In this article we are sharing our morning routine. Things that me and my mother do to keep our mornings as productive as possible.

Prepare for morning the night before

  • Your preparation for the morning should start the night before
  • It is very important to plan for the next day
  • Decide what are you going to do the next day and make necessary preparations
  • Keep your clothes out for wearing to work

Wake up early

  • The internal clock in your body runs on routine
  • Try waking up at the same time every day. This will make sure that you plan your day better
  • You can only wake up early if you sleep on time

You snooze you lose

  • Set your clock to the exact time you need to wake up
  • Hitting snooze can actually make you feel worse than getting up the first time

Drink luke warm water

  • Drink about 3 glasses of water when you wake
  • Luke warm water kick starts you digestive and other system in the body
  • Rehydrating the body once you wake up is extremely necessary
  • This will even help you balance your appetite

Keep your electronics away at least until you’ve had breasfast

  • Post reading your work mails, checking your social media, reading news etc to after you’ve had breakfast
  • Utilise the morning hours properly
  • Engaging the precious morning hours with electronics can delay your routine

Hearty breakfast

  • Breakfast is the most essential fuel for your body
  • Breakfast is the most important meal of the day
  • Have a relaxed breakfast including high protein content items

Preparation for kitchen the night before

  • If you pack tiffin for yourself or your kids, you can make preparations the night before
  • This is ensure you don’t to run around in the morning

Planning your diet

  • We generally prepare a two week diet chart
  • This ensures that the necessary ingredients are brought home on time
  • Since there is clarity in the meal plan, there is no last minute chaos or running around to find something to eat
  • This also ensures we eat healthy

Writing down

  • While some of us are blessed with excellent memory, other are not
  • I write down the things I need to do for the next day
  • This ensures that I don’t miss out on anything important

Organise your wardrobe

  • Organising your wardrobe saves you those precious minutes in the morning
  • A well organised wardrobe helps to choose your instantly

Spending quality time with yourself

  • It’s perfectly alright to sit by yourself in the balcony, or park or roof and not do anything
  • Give yourself a quite start to the day. Spend time with nature. It relaxes your mind

Pre planned workout routines

  • Pre planning your workout routines is very important
  • You are mentally better prepared and necessary preparations can be made in time
    Morning is the most important time of the day. Little bit of planning goes a long way in clearing your mind and making things a little easier for you. Have a relaxed morning routine. You don’t need to stick with the routine discussed here. Do what works for you. However, plan ahead, have goals, take breaks from the routine, reward yourself. Avoid monotony, take care of your mental and physical health.
