Methi And Flax Seeds For Hormonal Balance

According to ayurveda, fenugreek and flax seeds are both considered very good and beneficial for females. Both these are natural remedies for PCOS, PCOD and it also aids in weight loss. In short, this amazing remedy can have amazing results in maintaining hormonal balance, joint problems, digestive issues and number of other health issues. Fenugreek if rich in iron, fiber, protein, calcium, manganese, zinc, vitamin C and fatty acids. Both fenugreek and flax seeds have anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup methi dana (60 grams)
  • 1/2 cup flax seeds (60 grams)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 cup A2 desi ghee
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup ragi flour
  • 3/4 cup jaggery
  • 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
  • 1/4 almonds (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • Dry roast methi dana on low heat, until it turns slightly brown
  • Grind methi dana and flax seeds
  • Warm milk and soak methi dana in milk
  • Let it soak overnight and or atleast for 4-5 hours
  • Heat 4-5 tsp A2 desi ghee in a pan
  • Healthy fat in moderation is a must for a balanced diet
  • Desi ghee is a rich source of vitamins like vitamin E and antioxidants
  • It is also ayurveda’s most treasured foods
  • Add soaked methi and cook for 4-5 minutes on low heat
  • Stir constantly or it will stick to the bottom very quickly
  • After 4-5 minutes, add dessicated coconut and flax seeds powder to the pan
  • Transfer the mixture into a plate or thali
  • Heat 2 tsp desi ghee into the pan, add ragi flour
  • Roast ragi flour in ghee until it starts to give a aroma
  • Roast on low heat, after 5-6 minutes remove from the pan
  • Heat some more desi ghee into pan and add the whole wheat atta
  • Roast the atta on low heat until it turns slightly brown
  • Remove the atta as well once done
  • Heat the remaining ghee in the pan
  • Add crushed jaggery into the pan and melt it
  • Once nicely melted, add all the ingredients into the pan at once
  • Mix everything very well and switch off the heat
  • Let the mixture cool down a bit
  • Now take handful of mixture and start rolling it to make ladoo
  • Your healthy methi flax seeds ladoos are now ready
