Ingredients
- Sesame seeds ( Til) 3/4 cup
- Jaggery (gur ) 3/4 cup
- Ghee 3/4 teaspoon
- Nuts of choice for Garnish
Directions :
- Dry Roast nuts and set aside
- Dry roast Sesame Seeds on low flame
- dry roast them until they turn golden and aromatic (about 2-3 minutes). Set aside.
- Roughly chops the roasted nuts
- Prepare Jaggery Syrup
- In a pan, add ghee and jaggery.
- Cook on low flame until the jaggery melts completely, Keep stirring
- Quickly add the roasted sesame seeds to the jaggery syrup and mix well until the seeds are evenly coated.
- Grease a flat surface or a mould ( I am using a silicone mould)
- Add chopped nuts into the mould first
- Now Pour the mixture in the cavity, flatten it quickly using a spoon first than with heavy object
- Let it cool completely at room temperature before taking out ( 30-40 min)
- Enjoy as anytime snack or as dessert Post meal
