Warm Winter Smoothies For Weight Loss

Most of think that smoothies are cold drinks which are exclusively meant for summers. We’ve brought recipes of five delicious warm winter smoothies which are comforting and yet highly nutritious. These smoothies will become your instant favourite on busy chilly mornings. Also called breakfast drinks, there is no better way to start your day then with a satisfying and yummy serving of blended fruits and vegetables.

Spiced apple and oats smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 2 tbsp soaked quick oats
  • 1 tbp peanut butter
  • 1 cup plant milk
  • 1.5 tsp jaggery
  • Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp instant coffee

Instructions

  • Roughly chop apple and add them to blender or mixer with little water
  • Add the apple puree to a pan with some water
  • Add the apple puree to a pan with some water
  • Add jaggery, dry ginger powder and black pepper to the pan
  • Add vanilla extract and mix well
  • Cover and cook the apple puree for few minutes
  • Add soaked quick oats, peanut butter to the same mixer and make a paste
  • Add plant milk to the cooked apple puree and mix well
  • Cook the mixture for few more minutes, keep the heat to the lowest
  • Now add the oats peanut paste and mix well
  • Cook on low heat until it starts to boil slightly
  • Keep the heat to the lowest and continue stirring all the time
  • Add cinnamon powder and instant coffee (optional) and mix well
  • Transfer it into a bowl or glass
  • Consume it immediately, don’t store it

Turmeric and aliv seeds spiced smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp soaked quick oats (30 minutes)
  • 1 tsp soaked aliv seeds / halim seeds
  • 6 soaked almonds
  • 6 soaked cashews
  • 2 soaked figs
  • Small fresh turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp sauth
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp shatawari powder
  • Pinch of ceylon cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a mixer grinder or blender, add soaked quick oats and figs
  • Add all the other ingredients
  • Bland the mixture to make a smooth paste
  • Add oats water and blend again to get thin paste
  • In a pan, add milk and place it on heat
  • Once the milk starts to boil, add blended mixture and mix well
  • Once it starts to heat, add soaked aliv seeds
  • Cook the mixture on lowest possible heat
  • Once heated well, switch off the heat and serve

Banana warm smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp soaked quick oats
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • Few drops of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp espresso coffee

Instructions

  • In a mixer / blender, add soaked quick oats, peanut butter and banana
  • Blend the mixture until smooth
  • In a pan, add milk and heat it up
  • Add coffee, cocoa powder and vanilla extract
  • When the milk starts to boil, add the oats peanut butter mixture
  • Using a whisker, mix everything until you get a smooth texture
  • Heat the mixture, don’t boil, continue stirring to avoid sticking at the bottom
  • Once done, switch off the heat
  • Enjoy it warm

Green warm detox smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup quick oats
  • 6 almonds
  • 4 cashew nuts
  • Pinch of cinnamon jaggery
  • 1/2 cup water for soaking
  • 2 cups chopped spinach
  • Few drops of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Combine quick oats, almonds, cashew nuts, jaggery and cinnamon powder in a bowl
  • Add luke warm water to the bowl and soak the ingredients
  • Leave aside for minimum 30 minutes to maximum overnight
  • Add chopped spinach into the blender and leave aside for minimum 30 minutes
  • Add little water at the bottom and top and blend at high speed until you get a smooth consistency
  • Add the spinch puree in a pan
  • Now add soaked oats mixture into the blender and blend on high speed until smooth
  • Sift the mixture through a big sieve or muslin cloth
  • Place the pan with spinach puree on heat
  • Once it starts to boil, reduce heat, cover and cook on low heat for a few more minutes
  • Once cooked, add oats and nut milk mixture
  • Cook on low heat for a few more minutes
  • Don’t cook on high heat as the mixture might stick at the bottom
  • Once the mixture starts to thicken, remove it from the heat
  • Serve it in a mug or bowl
  • This is a low calorie drink, great for detoxification

Red winter detox smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 beetroot
  • 1 cup homemade soymilk
  • 2 tbsp soaked quick oats
  • 2 soaked dates
  • 1.5 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • Some cardamom powder
  • Fw drops of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Roughly chop the beetroot and add into mixer / grinder with some water
  • Add more water to make a smooth paste
  • Add beetroot paste into a pan and place it on heat at low temperature
  • Add soaked oats and dates in the mixer
  • Add chia seeds and peanut butter in the mixer
  • Once the beetroot is cooked add soy milk into the pan
  • Always keep the heat to the lowest possible
  • Add vanilla extract to the pan and mix well
  • Add oats, dates and peant butter paste to the pan and mix well
  • Use a whisker to mix it well
  • Add cardamom powder and mix well
  • Transfer the smoothie in a jar / bowl and cnsume while it’s warm
