Makhana Dhaniya ladoo

Get Ready to delight your taste buds with these Phool Makhana & Dhaniya Ladoos. They are inspired by the Dhaniya Panjiri Recipe that we prepare on the occasion of Indian Festival Krishna Janamasthami, the Birth of Lord Shri Krishna.
These laddus are not just tasty but provides multiple health benefits because of the ingredients in them. They are sugar free and requires Simple ingredients like off course dried Coriander seeds, Phool Makhana and any nuts or seeds of your preference. I have sweetened them with dates but you can use jaggery or honey. Coriander is known for its properties to boost digestion and metabolism. You can store them for upto 2 weeks and enjoy them as anytime snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Coriander Seeds / Sabut Dhaniya
  • Fennel Seeds 1 Tbsp
  • 1.5 cups of Phool Makhana
  • Nuts & Seeds
  • Cashews handful
  • Pumpkin, sesame, sunflower seeds 2 Tbsp each
  • Poppy Seeds 1 Tbsp
  • Dried coconut (as per preference)
  • Desi Cow Ghee / cold pressed Coconut oil 2.5 Tbsp
  • Soft Dates 1 Cup (Remove seeds)

Directions:

  • Dry Roast coriander seeds on low heat
  • Roast until they turn brown & aromatic
  • Remove from heat
  • Dry roast Makhana on low heat
  • Roast until turn brown and crunchy
  • Heat 2 tsp ghee in pan
  • Add nuts & seeds & roast
  • Start with cashews, followed by seeds
  • Add chopped coconut
  • Roast until they are slightly brown & seeds starts to crackle
  • In a grinder add roasted coriander seeds
  • Similarly grind roasted Phool Makhana
  • Grind ghee roasted nuts & seeds with dates
  • Combine everything together
  • Melt and Add rest of the ghee (2tbsp) in the mixture
  • Mix well until nicely combined
  • Using hand start making small fist ful bites or ladoos
  • Do the same with entire mixture
  • Your Healthy weight loss ladoos are ready
