Sabudana Khichdi; Weight Loss Meal.

Sabudana Khichdi is a delicious and popular Indian dish that is often prepared during fasting days or as a breakfast or brunch option. Sabudana/ Tapioca pearls1 cup

Cumin seeds1 tsp.

Roasted peanuts1/2 cup

  1. Rinse 1 cup of sabudana with water and soak it in enough water to cover the pearls for 2-3 hours or until they become soft and fluffy.
  2. Drain the excess water from the soaked sabudana and keep it aside.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds. Once the cumin seeds start to splutter, add 2 chopped green chilies and sauté for a few seconds.
  4. Add the soaked sabudana to the pan and stir it for a few minutes on low to medium heat until it becomes translucent.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of coarsely crushed roasted peanuts, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar to the pan and mix well.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture and stir well.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut (optional).
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Note: You can also add potatoes, tomatoes, or other vegetables of your choice to the sabudana khichdi. Just make sure to cook them before adding them to the mixture.
