7 Healthy Summer Smoothie

In an effort to help you make healthier breakfast choices, especially when you have limited time I’ve brought some highly nutritious smoothies which are delicious and will definitely help you in weight loss. These smoothies have a perfect blend of protein and fibre. These can also be consumed as a meal or snack.

Healthy Ragi Malt smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 tbsp ragi flour
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 tsp jaggery  powder
  • 1 cup dairy or plant milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • Cocoa powder, dark choclate powder, cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a bowl, take 1 1/4 tbsp ragi flour
  • Make a lump free paste in water
  • In a pan, add 3/4 cup water
  • Add the ragi paste when the water starts to boil
  • Add the rest of water
  • Stir constantly to avoid lumps, the mixture will start to thicken
  • Add  1 tsp jaggery powder
  • Once cooled, use immediately to make smoothie or prepare it the next morning
  • Use 1 cup dairy or plant milk
  • Add 1/2 banana and the cooked ragi in the blender
  • Add 1 tsp peanut butter
  • Add cocoa powder, dark chocolate powder and cinnamon
  • Serve immediately after preparation
  • This recipe will serve one person

Summer Green Detox smoothie

Ingredients

  • Water
  • 30 ml barley juice
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2-3 mint sprigs
  • 2-3 small peaches
  • 1/4 cup green grapes

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients in a blender
  • Blend them nicely

Your Summer Green Detox smoothie is ready

Ultimate Summer Breakfast smoothie

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp overnight soaked oats
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1/2 medium mango
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • 1 tsp jaggery powder/ honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk / plain water

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients in a blender
  • Blend
  • Add more water if the consistency is thick

Enjoy this smoothie for breakfast

You can also make a granola bowl for a more filling breakfast

Banana Buttermilk Breakfast smoothie

Ingredients

  • Overnight water soaked oats
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 3/4 frozen banana
  • Jaggery (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dahi
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Cardamom

Instructions

  • Add dahi and water in blender to make buttermilk
  • Add other ingredients with some buttermilk and blend
  • Add the rest of the buttermilk and blend again
  • Garnish with chia seeds before consuming

Watermelon Cucumber smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 kakdi
  • 1.5 super green powder (optional)
  • 2 cup watermelon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 sprigs of mint
  • Pinch of pink salt

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend
  • Pour it in a jar and enjoy your smoothie
  • Make sure you consume it immediately after preparation

Mango Sattu smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2-3 tsp roasted chana dal
  • 1/2 cup mango
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Grind the roasted chana dal to make sattu
  • In the blender, add 1/2 cup mango
  • Add 1 tbsp sattu
  • Add 1 cup buttermilk
  • Add 1 tsp honey
  • Add some cinnamon

Consume this smoohtie immediately after preparation

Dalgona Coffee Banana Peanut Butter smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 tbsp instant coffee
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp jaggery powder
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 3/4 frozen banana
  • 1 cup plant based or diary milk
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 1/4 tsp cocoa powder
  • Few drops of vanila extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Little bit of dark choclate

Instructions

  • In a cup, add 1 3/4 cup instant coffee
  • Add 2 tbsp hot weater
  • Beat and mix till it changes color and becomes frothy
  • Add 1 cup diary or plane based milk
  • Add 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • Add 1 1/4 tsp cocoa powder
  • Add few drops of vanila extract and cinnamon
  • Blend
  • Add 1/2 of the beaten coffee
  • Garnish with some grated dark chocolate
