17kgs Weight Loss Transformation at Home

Hope all of you are keeping safe, healthy and happy. Being overweight does not just bring criticism but also lowers your energy, immunity, health and confidence.             IT Engineer Apurva Harane felt the same because of her weight. The decision to change her lifestyle was well planned. Taking tiny steps at a time, she managed to lose 17 kgs in 04 months. What’s commendable is that she learnt to enjoy the process and did not feel burdened because of her expectations. Lets ask her a bit more about her transformation.

What changes did she make in her lifestyle

  • Her earlier attempts at weight loss were short sighted
  • Apurva resorted to crash diets and once she laid off them, she immediately regained all her lost weight
  • Her job being a desk job also played a role in her weight gain

Consistent and long term planning

  • Apurva concentrated on her long terms goals
  • She concentrated on eating a healthy diet which was nutritional  and wholesome
  • She cut out all the junk and unhealthy food from her diet

Exercise

  • Apurva started exercising 4-5 times in a week
  • She also resorted to taking walks after every 2-3 hours in the office

Balanced Diet

  • Apurva’s main mantra in this journey of weight loss was to follow a balanced diet
  • Concentrating on all food groups was the key
  • Along with all food groups she controlled the portion size of all her meals

  • Apurva followed the healthy platting method of eating  to get maximum nutrition out of her diet
  • She made sure that she was hydrated at all times and thus did not feel the urge to munch on unhealthy snacks

10,000 Steps

  • Along with a balanced diet, Apurva made sure that was exerting herself physically
  • A target of 10,000 daily steps was the goal. She didn’t sleep unless she completed this target daily

Sleep

  • After a good day’s workout, it is imperative for the body to get fully recovered
  • Apurva made sure that she gets 7 to 8 hours of sound sleep daily

How different does Apurva feel now

  • She feels more confident about herself
  • There is no stress about how she looks
  • Her output and outlook towards life has changed drastically
  • Apurva’s stamina has increased manifold and even her immunity is much better than earlier
  • With her increased energy she is able to complete all the tasks on time

  • Everyone’s body is different, don’t judge or compare yourself with others
  • Have confidence in your abilities
  • Eat healthy, work out and the rest will follow

  • Apurva is continuing eating healthy and exercising regularly
  • The level of intensity and time for workout has increased as she has more time now
  • She concentrates on avoiding junk and eats really healthy
  • She is trying to learn more about fitness to improve further
  • She help out with daily chores which burn calories and help her stay fit
