Winter Weight Loss Smoothies

Hello everyone, hope all of you are doing good and are keeping healthy and happy. The six healthy breakfast smoothies are my favourite go to recipes on busy winter mornings. There is no better way to start the day than a satisfying, filling and yummy blend of blended fruits and vegetables. These smoothies contain tons of nutrition as well as protein and fiber.

Green Detox Drink

Ingredients

  • 40 grams palak (spinach)
  • 25 grams methi (fenugreek)
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 date
  • 1 apple medium size
  • 1/4 cup grapes

Instructions

  • Wash the palak and methi and roughly chop them
  • In a pan, take some water and add the methi and palak
  • Cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes and let it cool down slightly
  • Now add all the ingredients in a blender and blend
  • Blend till everything is smooth
  • Consume this smoothie fresh

Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 60 grams spinach
  • Some water
  • Soy milk
  • 2 tbsp oats soaked overnight
  • 6 soaked almonds
  • 1.5 dates
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 banana

Instructions

  • Take the spinach and roughly chop it
  • Put it in a pan and add some water in it
  • Now let it cool down completely, you can do this a night before
  • Blend all the ingredients untill it becomes smooth
  • Cosume the smoothie fresh

Beetroot and Carrot Smoothie

Ingredients

  • One beetroot and one carrot
  • 250 ml soy milk
  • 1.5 dates or any other natural sweetner
  • 6 soaked almonds
  • 2 tbsp overnight soaked oats
  • 1 tsp peanut butter

Instructions

  • In a pan, add one beetroot and one carrot with some water
  • Reduce heat and cook until it turns soft
  • Once cooked, let them cool completely
  • Add all the ingredients in a blender
  • Blend until everything turns smooth
  • Consume it fresh

Ragi Apple smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tbsp ragi flour
  • 1.5 cup water
  • Some vanilla extract, cinnamon and jaggery powder
  • 1 medium size apple
  • Some coconut milk

Instructions

  • Add ragi flour with little water to make a paste
  • In a pan, add one cup of water and bring it to a boil
  • Once it starts to boil add the ragi paste and mix well
  • Cook ragi on low heat and continue to avoid lumps
  • Cook ragi for 5-6 minutes, don’t leave it unattended
  • Once cooked, leave it to cool down a bit
  • Now, add the vanilla extract, cinnamon and jaggery powder to the cooked ragi
  • Once ragi is completely cooled down, it is time to blend everything
  • In a blender, first add chopped apple with coconut milk and blend it until smooth
  • Now add the ragi paste mixture to the blender and blend again
  • Your healthy ragi apple smoothie is now ready
  • Transfer it in a jar and consume, don’t store it

Ragi Malt Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 tbsp ragi flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • Cocoa powder
  • Dark chocolate powder
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Make a lump free paste of ragi with water
  • In a pan, add 3/4 cup water
  • Add the ragi paste when water starts to boil
  • Stir consistently to avoid any lumps
  • Once cooled, use immediately to make smoothie or store it to make smoothie next morning
  • Add all the other ingredients with ragi paste in a blender
  • Your smoothie is now ready
